Home composting offers many benefits for communities that are looking to increase the amount of material that is kept out of the landfill. In Manitoba, it is estimated that of all residential waste, potentially 40% can be recycled and 40% can be composted (food and yard waste). By recycling and composting, residents can see a direct reduction in the amount of garbage they produce. |
